What to Bring

Mountain weather can change quickly, so please come prepared for a full day outdoors and aboard a historic steam train.

We recommend bringing:

  • Layered clothing or a light jacket
  • Sunglasses or eye protection
  • Sunscreen and sun protection
  • Closed-toe, sturdy shoes
  • Camera or binoculars
  • Water bottle
  • Comfortable day bag for personal items

Because this is an authentic steam railroad experience, occasional cinders may occur near the locomotive. Eye protection is recommended, especially when riding in the open-air gondola.
