Our railroad has steamed through history and across the Rocky Mountains since 1880, when first tracks were laid across Cumbres Pass. In 2020, we celebrate the 50th anniversary of our co-ownership by the states of Colorado and New Mexico. This is your chance to make history with us. To experience going back in time and off of the grid. To experience the sounds, steam and steel, and the grit that made this country great.
Make a clean escape.
Climb aboard the Cumbres & Toltec and travel through some of the most breathtaking scenery in the nation. Experience the wildflowers, 600-foot deep gorges, wildlife, vistas of snowcapped peaks and all the romance of the steam whistle echoing across the hills. Celebrate the history, and the moment. And join us when we say, “Long may the whistle blow.”
Book with confidence.
