Dinner & Beer Train

While aboard taste the beer from local Colorado brewery San Luis Valley Brewing. Included in your ticket is a taste flight of 4 beers.

• Cumbers & Toltec #168 Steam Driven IPA:  a citrus-floral IPA with a touch of grapefruit created to support the restoration of the historic #168 Steam Engine,  6.7%ABV
• Alamosa Amber:  a classic Colorado red ale with a balanced hop to malt profile, 5.5% ABV
• Valle Especial:  a light, refreshing Mexican Style Lager, 4.5% ABV
• Light Em’ Up Lager: an American Style Light Lager brewed with Soulcraft Brewing, Salida, for the 2025 Early Iron Car Show, 4.2% ABV

Enjoy a delightful dinner, complete with build your own sliders of mini burgers and BBQ Pork, chicken wings, green chile mac and cheese, tater tots or steak fries, green salad, cookies and brownies.

Depart our Antonito, Colorado train station at 3:00 pm and enjoy brews from San Luis Valley Brewing Co., while enjoying the scenic views at sunset. Arrive at scenic Osier station, the mid-point on the Cumbres & Toltec railroad line, around 6:00 pm for a delightful dinner of build your own sliders of mini burgers and BBQ Pork, chicken wings, green chile mac and cheese, tater tots or steak fries, green salad, cookies and brownies. After a dinner board the train back to Antonito and enjoy scenic views by moonlight. Arrival back to Antonito approximately 11:00 pm

Guests will have access to walk from car to car and into our open-air Gondola. Our Gondola car is a great way to take in the fresh air, unobstructed views, and snap photos.

Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy a historic caboose. Experience what is is like to ride in a historic caboose first hand sit up in the coupula.

For your comfort, the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad recommends that you consider the following when planning your trip:

• The mountains can bring about sudden changes in the weather. It is important to wear layered clothing and in the late summer and fall, bring a jacket.
• Sunscreen and ball caps are also suggested to protect you from the stronger sun rays.
• Wearing sturdy, closed-toe shoes is also important to protect your toes and ankles when in the yard and on the train.
• If spending time in the open gondola car, it is very important to wear protective eyewear to protect against cinders getting into your eyes. Sunglasses and prescription glasses are fine. We also sell safety glasses for your convenience.
• We also recommend bug spray because mosquitoes sometimes stow away on the train during the ride.
