The Experience:

Day 1: September 21, 2021- Chama, NM to Osier, CO (with lunch at Osier). Return to Chama. Highlights include Lobato Trestle, Cresco Tank (built-in 1893), Windy Point, Cumbres Pass (elevation 10,022 feet), Tanglefoot Curve, Los Pinos, Cascade Trestle (built-in 1889), and the remote outpost of Osier (with structures dating to 1880). Departure at 8:30 am. Cost: $170 per adult. 27 seats available.

Day 2: September 22, 2021- Chama, NM to Antonito, CO (with lunch at Osier). Highlights include everything from Day 1 PLUS Rock Tunnel, Toltec Gorge, Calico Cut, Phantom Curve, Mud Tunnel, historic Sublette, Big Horn, Whiplash Curve, Lava Tank, Ferguson’s Trestle (also known as Hangman’s Trestle), and much more. This is a 64-mile journey (one-way) across the entire Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad. We’ll cross the Colorado/New Mexico border 11 times! Departure at 7:30 am by bus from Antonito to Chama return to Antonito by Goose No. 5. Cost: $185 per adult (includes lunch at Osier and bus fare). 27 seats available.

Day 3:September 23, 2021- Antonito, CO to Osier, CO (with lunch at Osier). Return to Antonito. Highlights include Ferguson’s Trestle (also known as Hangman’s Trestle), Lava Tank, Whiplash Curve, Big Horn, historic Sublette, Mud Tunnel, Phantom Curve, Calico Cut, and the remote outpost of Osier (with structures dating to 1880). Cost: $170 per adult (includes lunch at Osier). 27 seats available.

Day 4: September 24, 2021-Antonito, CO to Chama, NM (with lunch at Osier). Make the 64 mile journey from Antonito, CO to Chama NM, crossing the Colorado/New Mexico border 11 times! Highlights include Ferguson’s Trestle (also known as Hangman’s Trestle), Lava Tank, Whiplash Curve, Big Horn, historic Sublette, Mud Tunnel, Phantom Curve, Calico Cut, the Toltec Gorge, Rock Tunnel. We’ll also stop for lunch (included) at the remote outpost of Osier (with structures dating to 1880), and we’ll visit Cascade Trestle (built-in 1889), Los Pinos, Tanglefoot Curve, and Cumbres Pass (elevation 10,015 feet). From Cumbres Pass, we’ll descend the four percent to Chama, enjoying phenomenal views of northern New Mexico and the Chama River Valley the entire way. Departure at 7:30 am by bus from Chama to Antonito return to Chama by Goose No. 5. Cost: $185 per adult (includes lunch at Osier and bus fare). 27 seats available.

Day 5: September 25, 2021- Chama, NM to Osier, CO (with lunch at Osier). Return to Chama. Day 6: September 26, 2021- Chama, NM to Cumbres Pass, CO. Return to Chama. This is a comfortable half-day trip. Highlights include Lobato Trestle, Cresco Tank (built-in 1893), Windy Point, and Cumbres Pass (elevation 10,022 feet). We’ll turn around on the wye at Cumbres before returning to Chama. Departure at 8:30 am. Cost: $110 per adult. 27 seats available.
